Senior Technical Trainer - Regulatory PracticePolicy, Planning & Regulation (Government & Defence)Full timeTe Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe have an exciting advisory opportunity for a Senior Trainer - Regulatory Practice to join our Regulatory System Design group. The Senior Trainer will be responsible for delivering training across the regulatory group. Primarily to uplift, and maintain, our technical skills in investigations and auditing, regulatory practice, regulatory framework knowledge, and behaviours/ways of working.You will work with fellow trainers and learning and development experts to:Coordinate delivery of training, including facilitation and mentoring, to NZTA employees delivering regulatory functions.Maintain existing regulatory training materials and learning curriculums and support the development of new ones.Develop and maintain tools and processes for ongoing in-field assessment of the competency of our frontline kaimahi (staff).Train frontline managers to be able to assess the competency of their kaimahi and support their ongoing capability development.Ko koe tenei | About youTo be successful in this role, you will bring:Strong experience in a frontline regulatory environment. Strong regulatory compliance and enforcement experience (i.e. planning, delivery and reporting of regulatory investigations, audits, assessments).Solid understanding of modern good regulatory practice principles, approaches, behaviours.Experience using a range of regulatory interventions based on strong data analysis.Knowledge of learning and development and how adults learn.Working knowledge of digital learning.Experience in developing and delivering capability assessments to assess ongoing competency of trainees.Experience working across a variety of different types of mahi and comfort with being flexible to go where the need is.Proven ability to develop basic training materials and resources relating to technical learning and development in the workplace is an advantage.Qualifications:A tertiary level or professional qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred. You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori.
