We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our client's team in an exciting new project. This role is integral to the design, construction, and asset management of their Greenfields project, marking the beginning of its assets maintenance and lifecycle (M&A) journey.
Key Responsibilities: Developing and implementing a suitable process and program of scoping work to best utilise D&C and M&L SME resources and intellectual collateral developed to date.
Driving the timely finalisation of the scope of works for the infrastructure involving:
scope of work, allocation and timing of interface works with external stakeholders.
outworkings of network planning studies from the GCC team.
outworkings of workings from the GCC team in relation to interfaces with foundation generators and hub requirements.
Chairing internal and external facing SME meetings as required by the Technical Director.
Developing a status/dashboard/scorecard report on technical issues.
Identifying and capturing quick wins and socialising.
Developing a template/schedule to capture agreed scope, allocation and timing of works including interfaces suitable for inclusion in the Project Deed.
Providing oversight and assurance that designs meet the project's performance requirements.
Managing timely resolution of issues arising between D&C and M&L where variations to design occur through the design change/SiD process.
Reviewing possible modifications of the contract (claims for additional work from D&C).
Interface with the Independent Certifier.
Oversight of asset handover from D&C to M&L (in conjunction with Commissioning Manager role).
Recommending approval of asset replacements.
Other duties as directed by the Technical Director.
Required Qualifications: Possess a degree in Engineering, an MBA, or a similar postgraduate qualification (preferred).
Demonstrated extensive professional experience in transmission infrastructure assets, focusing on design, planning, or asset management.
Ability to understand and evaluate the trade-off between capital expenditure (capex), operational expenditure (opex), and risk to achieve a balanced position.
Aptitude for making informed decisions, considering the conflicting priorities of capital delivery and maintenance/operations groups.
