Energy Vets Taranaki Ltd is seeking an experienced, passionate Senior Team Leader Vet to head up our Companion Animal Team. This newly created leadership role offers a unique chance to grow your career while enjoying the exceptional lifestyle that Taranaki has to offer. We generate nearly half of our income from our companion animal services, supported by a dedicated team of 5.5 FTE small animal vets working full and part-time.
About the role
The Senior Team Leader Vet – Companion Animal position provides an excellent opportunity to head up our companion animal services, develop strong working relationships across our practice, and actively contribute to our strategic growth. Reporting to the Managing Director, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Leading routine companion animal consultations and surgeries.
Participating in clinical duties both onsite and through the on-call/after-hours roster.
Providing expert advice and exceptional service to clients.
Mentoring and leading the companion animal team to ensure high standards of care.
Identifying and developing new opportunities to enhance services for growth

Proven experience in companion animal care, including strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
Exceptional communication and client engagement abilities.
