You will play a vital part in overseeing and managing all compliance and administration responsibilities within the Tax division. Responsibilities include: Conduct thorough taxation reviews for clients, identifying potential tax issues and providing expert advice. Craft effective tax strategies to ensure clients are compliant with tax regulations.Supervision and Training – Supervise and train the Tax division team to ensure timely and accurate completion of returns. Provide training and education to staff - effectively communicate updates and to tax legislation.Prepare responses and schedules for tax audits and reviews conducted by the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients – foster trust.Prepare annual accounts for various entities, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, Trusts, and Companies, while providing support to the Business Accounting Services division - providing hands-on support as required for the Tax division.Our ideal candidate Extensive knowledge of New Zealand Tax LegislationStrong Relationship Management, Analytical and Communication skills – ability to problem solve.Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and supervise staff.Technology savvy – Proficient use of accounting software and MS Office.If you are detail-oriented, possess a solid understanding of tax regulations, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply.
