In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our distribution centre, ensuring the smooth execution of stock movement, picking, packing, and delivery processes. Your leadership will be key in driving operational excellence, fostering a positive team culture, and contributing to continuous improvement within the Distribution Centre.Key Responsibilities:Staff Leadership: Provide direction and leadership to the DC team, ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operations. Manage performance, train team members, and foster a positive and proactive work culture.Operations Management: Plan and oversee the efficient movement and storage of stock. Develop and implement strategies to optimise workflow, minimise costs, and ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the overall DC management team by recommending and implementing process improvements. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and enhance operational efficiency.Administration Support: Accurately process data and information management in accordance with Company policy and practice. Manage and oversee permanent and temporary labour resources to ensure efficient distribution centre operations.Health & Safety: Take a proactive role in maintaining a safe work environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, lead toolbox meetings, and manage incident investigations.What We're Looking For:Experience: Proven experience in warehousing and logistics operations, with a strong understanding of supply chain management. Leadership experience, particularly in managing and developing teams, is essential.Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and relationship management skills. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
