We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced aquatics professional who is looking to make a bigger impact by stepping into leadership.
In this role, you will support the Aquatics Team Leader by leading a team of lifeguards and ensuring standards such as operating procedures, Poolsafe, water quality, pool supervision, cleanliness and customer service are met. This role encompasses a mixture of poolside supervising as well as some leadership time.
As the most important aspect of this job is leading people, we are looking for someone with serious potential to inspire, motivate and develop staff, empowering them to always achieve greatness for our customers. You'll value building relationships and will be able to easily build a rapport with your team, community, and your Team Leader.
To be successful in this position you will: Have minimum of 3 years' practical experience in an aquatics or pool environment, including 12 months leadership experience.Hold a current Comprehensive First Aid Certificate (level 2), current Pool Lifeguard Skills Award.Relevant industry qualification e.g. National Certificate in Recreation & Sport (Aquatics) - Level 3.Be a budding people-centric leader.Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.Have exceptional communication skills and be solution focused.To view a copy of the position description, please click the link at the foot of the page.
Additional Recruitment Information: Salary: $34.39 - $38.21 per hour.Hours: Full time, permanent. Sunday - Thursday. Location: Jellie Park Recreation and Sports Centre, 295 Ilam Road, Burnside.
