About the Role:Silvester Clark, a renowned structural engineering consultancy with a strong presence in New Zealand, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join the team in Palmerston North. In this role, you'll work on various high-profile projects designing bespoke structural engineering across New Zealand, from complex multi-story commercial buildings to large-scale industrial facilities. You will also have the opportunity to lead engineering teams, interact closely with clients, and be part of a company with a 40+ year history of engineering excellence. You'll be part of the team, who are only 1 of 2 businesses in Aotearoa that do this type of work.With a clear ownership structure, they really do look after their 75 strong team across the country.You will need to have at least 3+ years' experience in consulting practice with good experience on similar projects. You will have significant seismic design experience and possess a relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. The ideal person will be practical and be able to deal with clients naturally.Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage structural design projects, with a focus on seismic design and ETABS analysis. Mentor and support junior engineers. Conduct seismic assessments of existing buildings and manage complex calculations. Regularly interact with clients, attending site meetings and providing project updates. Collaborate with other consultants and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. What We're Looking For: 3+ years of experience in structural engineering, with proven seismic design expertise. In-depth knowledge of New Zealand structural codes and ETABS analysis software. A relevant Civil or Structural Engineering degree. High-level engineering skills and experience working in New Zealand.
