The Venue A 50 Cover restaurant - Terra by Chris Hilton - serving a seasonal locally sourced & freshly prepared menu A 90 cover function suite catering for Weddings, Family Events and Corporate meetings/events Private Dining Room Tasting Room with 5 and 7 course tasting menu 60 outdoor covers 12 Stylish bedrooms Weddings & Family Celebration Events Afternoon Teas Corporate meetings/events Daily Lunch & Dinner restaurant trade for non-residents Large Sunday Lunch trade The Role We are a food based business, leading with our Terra Restaurant serving a seasonal menu, local where possible but truly authentic menu, along with private dining for up to 90, including business conferences, weddings, family celebrations and 12 bedrooms. We are looking for a skilled Chef, with experience of running all sections of the Kitchen, but we can be flexible within our current team for the right applicant. We need someone who can be an integral part of our kitchen team with the cooking ability but also the creativity to continue developing & elevating our dishes, making seasonal changes to keep our menus interesting and work towards securing 2 AA Rosettes. We pride ourselves on the quality of our Afternoon Teas, meat and fish and our standards of food presentation are excellent. You can have creative input into our menu planning process and we would love to see a dish that represents you on the menu. All our menus are prepared in house from ingredients so you should be confident with your prep and cooking skills. You will be a qualified Chef with proven experience of running a busy section in a commercial kitchen. You will be working with a team of Chef's, sharing ideas and offering training and development to progress their skills. A typical shift is 10hrs long and will see you working 4 on, 2 off, 3 on 2 off shift patterns. If you possess these attributes and you are looking for a genuine opportunity please contact us ASAP.
