Key job responsibilities - Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform - Scope each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria - Own each technical engagement, and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the SA community - Understand the AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals - Understand and use internal Amazon systems - Building relationships at various levels within our customer organisations A day in the life As a Solutions Architect, you'll help your customers successfully implement cloud technologies.
You'll solve complex, technical challenges so your customers can focus on their business.
This includes using your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
You'll take part in technical solutions discussions, diving deep into the details with customer teams.
Building relationships to understand our customers is key.
As a trusted technical advisor, you'll use your interpersonal skills to influence a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives.
You'll help ensure their short-term technology decisions are aligned with their long-term goals.
Speeding up the adoption of our services will be part of your day to day.
You'll also act as an evangelist in the wider community.
This includes taking part in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops.
You won't just want to be part of an industry movement; you'll want to be leading it.
As a Builder, you'll also have the chance to shape the direction of our products and services.
This is through gathering feedback from customers whilst collaborating with our engineering and service teams.

About the team This role is within the New Zealand ISV team who work with some of New Zealand's most innovative and fast moving B2B companies.
We work with these businesses helping them find product market fit, scale-up and grow.
The team works with independent software vendors that export software products and solutions globally.
SaaS is often a key part of the business model.
This role is focused on enabling new customers adopt AWS services into their products and solutions to help achieve their business outcomes.
You will have the exciting opportunity to work cross-functionally, as you collaborate with internal stakeholders from sales, operations, partner, and marketing teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 6+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g.
software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience - Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients - 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and software domains PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud - Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
