The role We are looking for an experienced Senior Solicitor or Senior Associate to join our Banking team in Auckland.
This is a busy practice area where you'll be involved in a range of challenging, interesting, and significant work. You will join our award-winning Banking and Financial Services division that is ranked Tier 1 by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific, a team that is passionate and committed to delivering timely, practical, and innovative solutions to help clients realize their goals.
The role provides the opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career in a top law firm with an excellent client base, including all the major trading banks, other local and international banks, investment banks, financial institutions, sponsors, issuers, trustees, corporates, and government organizations.
To be successful in this role, you'll have: At least 5+ years' relevant experience in general banking and/or restructuring and insolvency gained from another top-tier law firm or financial institution.Excellent drafting experience, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that help you develop strong relationships.A commercially driven mindset.An interest in drafting in plain English would be an advantage, as would CCCFA experience.As a senior member of the team, you'll be mentoring junior members of staff and demonstrating leadership qualities, as well as participating in business development activities.
