Contact us to find out more about the value we bring to our people. The opportunity We are seeking a Senior Solicitor or Senior Associate to join our Banking team based in Auckland. Led by partners Dan Collins, Miriam Andrews, and Paul Farrugia (who heads our banking practice), you'll get the opportunity to work on a variety of deals including structured finance, leveraged finance, acquisition finance, mezzanine finance, project and construction finance, syndicated lending, and debt restructuring. Our clients are diverse and include a mix of domestic and overseas clients that span across different industry sectors including financial services, property development, climate, transport, logistics, infrastructure, energy, hospitality, agriculture/forestry, and telecommunications. We value people who bring a fresh perspective, who are curious, commercially minded, and client-focused. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: 4 to 8 years' PQE in general banking and finance law. Experience in leveraged finance is desired but not essential. Experience gained from private practice or in-house, with at least some of that experience gained in New Zealand. Capability to draft and lead negotiations on core documentation. An interest in mentoring junior lawyers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to run banking transactions according to deadlines.
