The successful candidate will work with and report directly to the Head of Market Conduct.
Market Conduct plays an important role in contributing to the quality of New Zealand's listed markets.
It is responsible for delivery of oversight, monitoring, investigation and enforcement activity, as well as education and project initiatives that support conduct outcomes.
Market Conduct's work includes:Seeking to facilitate compliance by issuers and participants with their NZX market rules obligations, through engagement and guidanceInvestigating suspected breaches of NZX's market rules and taking action in accordance with NZ RegCo's enforcement policyAdvocating for conduct outcomes through strategic initiatives and compliance projectsIn this role you will work with the Head of Market Conduct to deliver proactive, timely and robust: (i) market oversight and monitoring of listed issuers on NZX's markets, and (ii) enforcement of NZX's market rules, in support of NZX's market licence obligations.Key skills and competencies include:A current practising certificate or be eligible to obtain one, with at least 3 years' post qualification experienceAn interest in capital markets, markets infrastructure and financial markets regulationSound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with senior internal and external stakeholdersA healthy level of both curiosity and professional skepticismWhat's in it for you?Our benefits include (but are not limited to):$1,000 of NZX shares for new employeesPaid professional memberships to keep your technical skills up to dateSick leave as requiredVolunteer LeaveFlexible working culturePurchased LeavePaid Partner Leave for new parentsWe are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity.
