We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Small Animal Veterinarian/Team Leader in this highly established mixed animal practice located in the beautiful region of Taranaki!You will be joining an experienced, dynamic team, boasting 5 full-time small animal vets.This full-time role combines clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for an experienced Veterinarian looking to advance their career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.The Role:You'll spend the majority of your time providing first-opinion care, including routine consultations and surgeries.Leadership responsibilities will take up approximately one day per week, focusing on team coordination and operational oversight.Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality clinical care in routine consultations and surgeries.Schedule vets for after-hours duties.Coordinate CPD opportunities for the small animal vet team.Manage client queries and complaints to resolution.Lead and mentor, overseeing workflows, holiday requests, and clinical management.Oversee stock management, equipment needs, and waste reduction.Ensure Health & Safety and legislative requirements (e.g., X-ray licensing and export protocols) are met.What's on offer:Leading salary from NZD$120K+.Beautifully located clinic.Supportive and dynamic team.Flexible schedule, giving you reigns of your own work-life balance.Relocation assistance.Visa sponsorship.About You:Eligible for registration in New Zealand.Experienced and confident Veterinarian.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Strong organisational abilities and a passion for team development.Why Taranaki?Taranaki offers a unique balance of lifestyle and opportunity.
