We are currently looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our NRMA Customer Loyalty (CLP) program! The Customer Loyalty Program helps to build on our already strong customer base by recognizing them, rewarding them, and helping them engage in safety-driven tasks to make their world safer.
Your Role
You'll be a key member of our CLP Operations team providing day-to-day operational support, identifying opportunities to analyse, optimize and automate the stable operation of the Customer Loyalty Platform, and working cross-functionally with teams as we transform and build the platform in line with our strategic priorities.
To be successful in this role, you will have a solid understanding of IT Service Operations processes (Incident, Problem and Change) and tools be able to use programs such as ServiceNow, New Relic, and Splunk. Knowledge of modular programming (API, microservices), DevOps and cloud technologies are also key.
This is a permanent role, and we welcome applicants from all major cities in Australia. We work flexibly with a mix of work from home and the office.
About You
Solid experience in DevOps, SRE or a related field
Experience working on customer-facing platforms providing operational support (customer loyalty applications would be advantageous although not mandatory)
Understanding of and use of IT Service Operations processes (Incident, Problem and Change) and tools, ServiceNow and ServiceNow reporting.
Experience of monitoring tools and relevant search queries for detailed analysis:
Splunk (troubleshooting logs to investigate issue, alert & dashboard creation)
New Relic (including configure synthetics monitoring, alert policies, alert conditions, dashboard, SLO and troubleshooting)
PowerShell
Postman / Insomnia
GitHub / Bamboo
SQL skills (PostgreSQL)
Change Management Process
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (Bamboo, Docker, Rancher)
Understanding of authentication and authorization technologies e.g. Okta, Auth0
API gateway knowledge (we use Apigee)
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS) and containerized architecture and applications (Kubernetes)
Implemented continuous improvement and recommendations for best practice
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
