We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Senior Health Service Manager to lead a large and very busy clinical service within a large health organisation based in South Auckland.
This is a full time permanent position. If you have had experience working with both acute and planned care patients across multiple sites this is just the challenge for you. You will be managing 200 + staff and dealing with large complex budgets over this growing service.
The Role Providing leadership to the service (over 200 FTE) in partnership with the clinical lead Facilitate annual planning, set goals and performance metrics Support leadership development of direct reports Recruit and retain staff with a focus on developing high-performing individuals and teams Support team leaders in ensuring day to day service delivery Performance and conduct management processes when required Plan, develop and communicate the strategic business plans and budgets for the service Ensure financial delegations are met and that all staff work within defined budget parameters Maintain an appropriate and robust quality and risk management
capability and framework Work in partnership with other senior staff member on the effective management of any change of services Facilitate change within this growing service which includes increasing physical space over 2 sites Experience managing senior clinical staff as well as non clinical business support staff Ability to manage the demands of a fast paced environment managing both acute and planned patient care The Candidate Relevant tertiary qualification in healthcare or business A clinical qualification would be an advantage Previous experience (5 years plus) working within a hospital environment Experience with working with acute and planned patient care Staff management (clinical and non-clinical), financial management (million + budget experience), change management (with planned growth) and project management experience Strong track record of managing complexity and risk whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery Knowledge of strategy development, health care, facilities and asset management Understanding of NZ health sector Evidence of managing complex organisations Experience managing 200 + staff Ability to manage a budget within the millions If this sounds like you and you are ready for your next permanent opportunity then apply now to be considered.
