We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior planner to join our team in your choice of either Christchurch, Auckland or Invercargill. You will be allowed to take a lead role in developing and implementing the RMA Planning team's approach to the market and provide operational oversight to all project activities.
About the RoleConduct Planning assessments to support resource consents, investigations, due diligence and plan making/policyPrepare submissions on regional and territorial authority planning documents, national policy statements and national environmental standardsLiaise with Regional and Territorial Authority staffManage projects by liaising with regulators, stakeholders, submitters, and members of the PDP team to support our clientsCompile and coordinate AEEs, management plans, planning and regulatory strategiesSupervise and coach junior planners to further develop your leadership experiencePrepare technical papers for presentation at conferencesWhat You'll BringBachelor's Degree, preferably a Masters, in RMA Planning, Environmental Science or Environmental Management, with sufficient relevant planning work experience and an active Full Membership status with the New Zealand Planning InstituteMinimum 8 years experience in consulting or council environmentStrong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skillsAbility to work on multi-disciplinary projects, integrating with scientists, engineers, ecologists, and othersA collegiate, team-player attitudeWhat We OfferAt PDP, we believe a great company is built by great people.
