What will you do? We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team.
In this role, you'll take the lead in security engineering and driving improvements, supporting our overall security strategy.
Working closely with our Technology Infrastructure team and external vendors, you'll play a key role in balancing organisational risks while delivering innovative security solutions.
Please note this position is based in our Christchurch office.

Key responsibilities include: Maintain and enhance the security capabilities of our Technology team by ensuring that security controls are defined, developed and deployed. Lead the design, development and implementation of secure network architectures, systems, and applications including design documentation. Lead security engineering initiatives, driving operational enhancements, serving as a subject matter expert (SME), and directing/implementing security remediation. Collaborate closely with our Technology team to lead the definition and implementation of effective security controls within Ryman, ensuring our technical security measures and improvements are deployed and functioning as intended. You have proven experience as a Senior Security Engineer, Security Consultant, or in a related role. You excel in security engineering, secure coding and implementing secure network architectures. You have experience with several of the following tools/technologies: Microsoft security tooling, firewalls and proxy services, security monitoring tools. An eye for detail and understand the importance of documentation as a security cornerstone. You value people and kindness and are passionate about delivering results. You strive for excellence and constantly look for ways to exceed expectations; delivering a high-quality service at speed will be second nature.
