About the role: The role provides expertise to DIA Branch's to develop and implement resilient and effective ICT business services that are aligned with DIA requirements, legislation and government regulations.
They champion security by design, provide specialist advice and lead the delivery of effective security outcomes across business services, investment, and improvement opportunities.
The work ensures that security is embedded in the delivery of business services or change initiatives throughout DIA.
Key Responsibilities: DIA Capability and maturity uplift: Contribute ICT security domain expertise to the development of enterprise, domain and solution strategies and architectures.Contribute to branch planning, development of business cases, strategies and roadmaps to uplift security and safety capability and improve delivery of DIA services.Provide security system certificate and accreditation, risk assurance activities, and the delivery of security, safety and risk advice on behalf of the business owners.Provide strategic advice on all matters pertaining to ICT security and safety management to key business stakeholders and technology partners.Innovation and continuous improvement: Keep abreast of emerging ICT security and safety trends across your selected portfolio or domain and provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders.Actively contribute to the Workplace Services Group strategy, planning and improvement activities.Collaborate with other security practitioners to develop security plans and roadmaps that support the ongoing improvement and delivery of Branch outcomes and the DIA four-year plan.Key Requirements: Demonstrate experience in: A broad knowledge across a range of security and safety domains or specific deep domain expertise, including practical application of security and safety in support of business outcomes.Demonstrated capability to deliver high-quality security and technology artefacts that align with stated business needs and requirements.Experience in a security role particularly in a complex environment with multiple commercial and government stakeholders.What You'll Need to Be Successful: Comprehensive understanding of strategic and business planning aligned to security outcomes and the implementation of technology to accomplish business change.Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes.Skills: Expertise in bringing people with opposing views together, and steering debates towards pragmatic solutions and a win-win outcome, applied at the most senior levels of the organisation.Ability to quickly acquire a deep understanding of the nuances of the business, to time engagement right, influence thinking and communicate complex and technical concepts to different audiences.A flexible approach and responsiveness to new ideas and activities, demonstrated by willingness to take on new challenges, roles and responsibilities.Strong analytical skills, particularly the ability to think about and apply solutions to meet DIA's business outcomes and strategies.Excellent written & verbal communication skills, including strong stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills.Professional Qualifications / other requirements: A relevant tertiary / industry recognised qualification and certifications.The ability to obtain and maintain a CONFIDENTIAL security clearance - to check your eligibility use the PSR Eligibility Tool.Applications close: 5pm, 30 January 2025
