As a Regional Council we're responsible for flood protection, public transport, civil defence, and more.Korero mo te Turanga | About the RoleThe main focus of this role is ensuring good quality data is combined, transformed and displayed in a way that provides meaningful insights to various audiences.More about the role:Share technical expertise with team members to support and train them in data science practices (e.g. writing scripts for automation, modelling, visualising)Demonstrate curiosity and innovation to continuously improve data science methodsPerform advanced data analysis and communicate issues and findings effectivelyActively contribute to successful outcomes of a newly created Environmental Data Insights teamCollaborate with the Digital Solutions team to ensure mutual understanding of requirements and dependenciesThe indicative salary range for this role is $83,000 – $97,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. You are adept at writing code, using data visualisation tools and working with APIs.
