Job Description Main Duties and Responsibilities: Exceed room revenue targets through account development and maintenance, regular sales calls, entertainment and sales trips as and where appropriate. Support goals, objectives, and philosophies of Raffles Hotel Le Royal. Develop lead sources through prospecting, solicitation, referrals, trace files, and cold calls. Conduct site inspections of the property with prospective and existing clients. Develop and implement new sales strategies, tactics and action plans for account base. Source Meetings and Group business. Source long staying guests from account base. Manage the relationship between hotel and account portfolio. Attend business association events and networking events as and where appropriate. Participate in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel and trade related organizations. Participate in the organization of sales & marketing actions such as sales briefing and weekly sales meeting, taking sales leads for prospects and clients. Develop business leads for the Hotel on a weekly basis. Collate business cards for the team and ensure that all are uploaded to 'constant contact.' Prepare monthly Hit List of accounts to penetrate for the following week. Prepare monthly action plan for main market segment. Monthly review account profile based on room nights production and average rate. Monitor Competitors Rate Strategy, Account penetration and Marketing activities to maintain a competitive edge. Be fully responsible for accounts under his/her management, including contracting, updating profile and renewing contracts in Opera. Update management on VIP arrivals and meet and greet accordingly. Cross-sell sister properties. Conduct negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for the Hotel. Attend and contribute to daily sales meeting and report on activities, market trends and business leads. Perform related duties and special projects assigned. Prepare proposals and contracts for potential business. Implement and control professional sales office administration. Liaise closely with all Departments within the Hotel including Front Office, Food and Beverage and Banqueting, instantly follow up new sales leads and report at the regular sales feedback. Support Asst. Director of Sales in preparing reports. Attend daily briefing to discuss previous sales contacts and to solve problems if any. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required.
