The hotels are in premier city addresses across Asia Pacific, North America, the Middle East and Europe.The Global Sales Office of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, based in Sydney, has a vacancy for a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Manager, Global Sales - Group, to maximize sales revenue and grow mice and group business for the company from professional conference organisers (PCOs) and all third-party MICE companies based in Australia and New Zealand.
The ideal candidate will cultivate strong relationships to ensure business revenue goals are achieved or exceeded and drive brand loyalty to maximise conference and meetings business to our hotels and resorts from this region.Reporting to Director of Global Sales.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:To meet the company's goal, achieving GSO SYD office annual revenue targets, and individual revenue targets as allocated.Develop and maintain close relationships with active and new mice accounts to secure and grow mice revenue for SLI hotels.Actively promote newly opened hotels / need hotels that require immediate support.Attend major trade functions and sales events, where required, to maintain SLI hotels' presence, and to promote room sales/ mice business for the hotels.Establish and maintain positive relationships with airlines, DMCs, NTOs etc.
within the region and actively seek opportunities for business leads, promotions and Familiarisation trips for our key hotels.Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, customer travel preferences, competition tactics and sales activities and gain feedback and insights for strategy review and planning.Actively promote SLIM Marketing programs such as Golden Circle Loyalty program, Mobile app, MICE offer etc.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:At least 5 years' experience working in a hotel, national or global sales role.
Preference will be given to sales candidates who have experience in a National or Global hotel sales role.Knowledge of all Shangri-La's hotels and resortsDemonstrate hands-on leadership skills that exemplify a high sense of commitment, integrity, teamwork and honesty that will develop sales and support staff.Personal computer knowledge mandatory (Salesforce, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel)Strategic thinker who is capable of interacting with all levels of management with internal and external customers in a friendly and positive manner.Solid verbal, written and presentation skills.Strong relationship skills.Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.Ability to Travel.BENEFITS:A competitive salary and quarterly IncentiveDaily complimentary lunchComplimentary room nights and discounts at all our hotels globally.#J-18808-Ljbffr
