Mo te Turanga | About the role As a Senior Risk Manager, you will use your advanced level of skills to:
Support, drive and monitor a robust risk and control environment and proactive risk and compliance culture across specific business units.Lead the Risk management support activities across Corporate Banking's Merchant Acquiring risk buydown programme.Partner with Merchant Acquiring and the wider Corporate Banking team to support them to achieve their business objectives safely, through assessing the impact of change on the risks of the business.Demonstrate leadership capabilities through proactively coaching and supporting the team to strengthen the control environment.By doing this, you will drive and support risk buy down of certain risk types across Corporate Banking products and activity, driving material change to make risk simpler, lift risk maturity and strengthen risk culture.
This is a Fixed Term opportunity for 2 years based at ASB's North Wharf office.
Your risk expertise will make you a trusted adviser to the areas you support. You will have the confidence to independently challenge and constructively work together with business areas and the wider risk, compliance, and conduct teams.
The minimum requirements for this role include:
Proven experience in applying risk, compliance and regulatory frameworks in a financial services organisation.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills that can be deployed to quickly identify issues and proactively drive solutions.Interpersonal and people management skills - ability to network, influence and relate well with people you lead, peers, senior management and internal customers.Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present clear and effective reports and commentary.Te mahi ki ASB | Working for ASB In return, you will work for an organisation that places huge importance and focus on its people, where the sky is the limit for development and career opportunities.
