The opportunity :
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Risk Manager to join our Finance and Actuarial (F&A) division, ensuring our financial, operational and compliance risks are managed effectively.
Reporting to the Head of Risk Services, you will act as a trusted advisor across all levels of the Finance and Actuarial division.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with actuarial experience to apply their expertise in a new and impactful way within our F&A division.
Key responsibilities include :

Leading Line 1 Risk practices
Providing guidance on managing financial / actuarial processes, controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Advising on risk management for projects and change initiatives
Identifying and assessing emerging risks and ensuring comprehensive Risk in Change (RiC) assessments
Managing control assurance programs and risk reporting
Promoting a strong risk and conduct culture within the organization
Building effective relationships with stakeholders within F&A and the broader risk community
Supporting issue resolution and ensuring completion of actions by agreed dates.

Ideally, you'll bring :

Experience in the actuarial space in the life insurance and / or financial services industry
Over 6 years of finance function risk management experience in the life insurance and / or financial services industry
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to constructively challenge and consider broader business implications
Proven ability to influence and build effective relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving risk management initiatives.
High-quality tertiary qualification in a related business discipline, with a professional or postgraduate qualification preferred.
