About the roleExciting career opportunity! Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for risk management? We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our dedicated team! This position is to assist with supporting the Operations Risk function within Rabobank NZ. You will be part of a small dynamic back-office team, primarily responsible for non-financial risk.
As the Senior Risk Analyst, you will be proactive and have a first line of defence mindset which will enable you to execute the non-financial risk activities within Rabobank New Zealand's Operations team. The role is focused on ensuring sound risk management practices are embedded within Operations, in line with Global and Regional risk management policy and practices.

Note: This key role is focused on banking risk and regulatory compliance, not IT-related functions.
Key Responsibilities:Assist teams and educate them on the application of the risk framework of an organisation.Assist with risk identification, assessment, management and monitoring for Operations NZ teams.Review the design and operating effectiveness of controls, and assist with improvement opportunities.Support our management team to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans where deficiencies have been identified.Support teams to ensure there are process and control improvements to reduce operational and compliance risk that our team might have highlighted: ensuring we report incidents and findings. Once controls are in place can you monitor and report on these.Assist the business with the establishment and monitoring of key risk and control indicators.Ensure alignment between risk, standards/guidelines, procedures and controls.Be a Data Risk Champion.We're keen to hear from people who have:3+ years related experience in financial services industry with focus on controls, auditing, operational risk, compliance and/or process engineering.Proven experience working in a Risk or Compliance team with or working within a business unit in a role with Risk or Compliance responsibilities.An understanding of banking and finance operations.Experience in managing and evaluating risk.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Experience managing stakeholders and supporting senior management and business teams.The ability to manage time and priorities.Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Management or postgraduate qualifications in similar disciplines, or relevant industry qualification, or proven banking and finance expertise.If this sounds like you and you are interested in growing a better world together, please follow the link and apply online or visit www.rabobank.co.nz/careers.
