We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner or Principal Planner to join our clients team in the beautiful coastal city of Dunedin, New Zealand.
About the Role: As a Senior Planner or Principal Planner, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Dunedin.
Your responsibilities will include: Leading and managing technical planning projects Overseeing the preparation of statutory planning applications and documents Engaging with the local community and key stakeholders Coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams Providing expert evidence and advice for Council hearings and Environment Court proceedings Sharing your knowledge and expertise with the wider team What We're Looking For: To be successful in this role, you will need: Relevant planning qualification and full NZPI membership (or eligibility) Minimum 8 years of broad resource management planning experience Strong working knowledge of national, regional and district planning frameworks Experience in infrastructure consenting and policy development (desirable) Excellent client relationship skills and a proven ability to develop new business Superb communication, problem-solving and negotiation abilities Familiarity with the Otago and Southland regions (an advantage) Why Dunedin?
