Aboutthe role
We have an opportunity for a senior resource management planner consents tojoin our consenting team. The senior resource management planner consents is responsible for processing resource management applications incompliance with associated legislation including the RMA. They also providesupport and direction to our junior planners and administrators.
Yourresponsibilities include (but are not limited to):
provide best practice advice on the processing of resource and buildingconsents applications
process resource consent applications, variations, alterations/requirementsfor designations, creation/cancellation of easements and various certificates
make decisions on applications in accordance with the relevantdelegations
liaise and negotiate with applicants and submitters, mediate and conductpre-hearing meetings
quality assurance and authorisation of draft resource consent decisionsfrom consultants and team members and supporting junior team members in theirprofessional development
Tobe successful in this role you will:
have an appropriate tertiary qualification in planning, resourcemanagement or environmental management
have at least four years post-qualification experience as a planner
possess strong drive to succeed and are motivated by continuousimprovement
possess high attention to detail, organisation and communicationskills
be passionate about developing and supporting others in their planning career
