The senior resource management planner -consents is responsible for processing resource management applications incompliance with associated legislation including the RMA. They also providesupport and direction to our junior planners and administrators.Yourresponsibilities include (but are not limited to):provide best practice advice on the processing of resource and buildingconsents applicationsprocess resource consent applications, variations, alterations/requirementsfor designations, creation/cancellation of easements and various certificatesmake decisions on applications in accordance with the relevantdelegationsliaise and negotiate with applicants and submitters, mediate and conductpre-hearing meetingsquality assurance and authorisation of draft resource consent decisionsfrom consultants and team members and supporting junior team members in theirprofessional developmentTobe successful in this role you will:have an appropriate tertiary qualification in planning, resourcemanagement or environmental managementhave at least four years post-qualification experience as a plannerpossess strong drive to succeed and are motivated by continuousimprovementpossess high attention to detail, organisation and communicationskillsbe passionate about developing and supporting others in their planning careerWhat's in it for you?This is an excellent opportunity for an planner who is ready to take the next step up in their career to Senior Planner, or a Senior Planner looking for a diverse role where you can contribute to the development of Junior team members.We recognise that staff are our most valuable asset.
