About the Role:
Our R&D team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technologist to work on some of New Zealand and Australia's most loved brands with a focus on managing the delivery of a complex range of product development & programs at any one time.
To be successful in this role, you will be required to work effectively as part of a cross functional team to ensure the delivery of objectives within a collaborative environment. This position will primarily be located at the Auckland manufacturing site in Avondale with an expectation that at least 3 days a week are spent on site. Other days will be based at the Newmarket head office in Auckland and travel to the Sydney Head Office/R&D centre may be required in some circumstances.

What your days looks like:
Lead breakthrough innovation projects, including new product platforms, out of aisle launches, and co-branding opportunities.
Collaborate with Australia-based R&D and Auckland manufacturing teams to oversee product trials and manufacturing support.
Develop and commercialize product line extensions, value engineer existing products, and manage ingredient supply changes.
Build strong partnerships with commercial, manufacturing, and R&D teams to drive project success.
Optimize product throughput and labour efficiencies through process mapping, manage product documentation, and perform shelf life and analytical testing.
The Ingredients for Success:
Degree in Food/Chemical Engineering or Food Science preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Food Technologist.
Ability to work independently and with teams in Australia and New Zealand.
Creative, with a strong passion for food and science, and a good understanding of ingredient functionality.
Skilled in project management, process flow mapping, planning, problem-solving, and effective communication.
