We are looking to recruit a Senior Refrigeration Technician or Engineer living in Auckland for our successful and busy Service and Maintenance Team.
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing refrigeration and HVAC systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings while ensuring proper operation of equipment to provide cooling, heating, and air quality control.
Further Responsibilities of the role include:
Commissioning HVAC & Refrigeration, IoT programming, testing systems, conducting routine maintenance, visual checks, and using diagnostic testing equipment to identify issues.
Repair or replace faulty components like compressors, motors, valves, and thermostats.
Recover and evaluate refrigerants from old systems before repair as per regulations.
Charge refrigeration systems with the correct type and quantity of refrigerant.
Advise customers on the most cost-efficient and effective solutions.
Ensure systems comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
About you:
You will be able to work remotely and independently. You will have a current EST and hold a Refrigeration Handling Licence/Certifications as required by regulations. You will need to demonstrate familiarity with refrigerants, handling procedures, and related legislation and have strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve refrigeration faults. You will need to be able to complete all job documentation and maintain records and have a current first aid certificate.
