We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, skilled, and conscientious individual to join our supportive and dynamic planning team and support ARO's upcoming expansion to our satellite centre on Auckland's North Shore , set to launch in 2025. This is a unique chance to be a key player in shaping our new facility's success from the ground up.
About the Role: We're looking for a radiation therapist who excels in advanced treatment planning , plan review, protocol development and quality improvement. You will play a crucial role in delivering world-class radiation oncology care to patients from New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, utilising the latest in treatment technology .
Why ARO?
We are New Zealand's only CyberKnife (S7) centre, offering state-of-the-art SRS and SABR treatments for prostate, brain, spine, liver, lymph node and pancreatic cancers.
Our two Elekta Versa HD linacs are soon to feature Elekta's cutting-edge Iris high-definition AI-enhanced CBCT imaging.
Planning is done using the RayStation TPS , with regular use of multi-modal image registration, complex re-treatments and off-line re-planning.
Our Canon Acquilion LB scanner and access to partner MRI providers ensure comprehensive imaging for precise treatment.
The Team and Work Environment: You will join a talented group of senior planners, our dosimetry trainer, and planning development RTs, co-led by two experienced planning supervisors. We embrace flexible work arrangements, with a mix of remote, hybrid, and onsite staff.
Key Responsibilities:
OAR delineation with AI support
Treatment planning for a range of techniques: 3D, VMAT, SABR, CyberKnife
Plan critique, data verification, and EQD2 dose assessments
Active participation in mini-chart rounds and neurovascular MDM
Contributing to innovative protocols
