We are also part of a newly formed Hydrogen Consortium, which includes Airbus and Air New Zealand, to pioneer the commercial deployment of green hydrogen-powered aircraft.We are in high-growth mode and are looking for people who want to help us drive our vision to create clever solutions for a better future.ABOUT THE ROLEThe R&D Engineer at Fabrum will play a key role in our development of new products with a particular focus on composite tanks used for the storage of liquid hydrogen, including in aircraft.
You will have the opportunity to:Develop cutting-edge solutions for world-leading projects, including the critical features for cryogenic storage vessels for use in aircraft.Help drive a continuous improvement culture with a practical, commercial focus in a fast-paced environment.Collaborate and apply technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems.Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design and manufacturing processes.ABOUT YOUBachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree (or higher studies).Experience or exposure to composite materials or cryogenics.Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.Experience or exposure to aviation engineering or development, including exposure to designing against standards and/or meeting compliance requirements.Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.Ability to collaborate across teams and regions, and proactively interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers, and designers to deliver successful outcomes.Join our growing company and realise your potential to make a real impact.
