This role involves working as a Senior QS while also leading a team of QS / Estimators.What does the job entail?Working with the Project Managers and the Commercial Leadership team, you will be responsible for budget, cost control management, and supporting projects to be completed successfully, on time, and on budget.This role will also see you leading the wider QS and Estimating team, coaching, supporting, and guiding them to ensure project and business success.A typical day could include:Pricing and preparing variations, payment claims, and purchase orders.Overseeing projects at various stages.Managing supplier and contractor agreements.Liaising with key stakeholders both inside and outside our business.Tender preparation and analysis.Coaching and mentoring the wider team.Who they are looking for:Someone with 8 or more years of quantity surveying experience in a commercial construction environment.A proven ability to coach, guide, and support a team of 4 Quantity Surveyors and Estimators.Someone who holds a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction, or Quantity Surveying, or has proven long-term experience in the role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to cost management.A team player who can think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.A can-do attitude and willingness to contribute for the greater good when needed.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?Do you have experience preparing and submitting tenders?To help fast track investigation, please include any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent/misleading/discriminatory.
