Redpath Partners are working with an established Main Contractor that has a strong focus on delivering exceptional commercial, industrial, education, public and residential developments. Over the past decade this business has seen significant growth and have been acknowledged for delivering some of New Zealand key architectural projects. With continued success and a solid pipeline of work they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with experience in vertical builds to join their experienced team.
Role
The position is ideal for an established Quantity Surveyor who has proven experience working previously for a Tier 1 or 2 Main Contractor. You must have previous commercial success in providing accurate cost management, procurement and contract administration in the New Zealand or Australian commercial construction industries.
Key responsibilities: Prepare accurate cost estimates for tenderOversee construction costs and variationsMonitor project profitability and track profitability against budgetManage the procurement process including competitive quotations and contractsReview all subcontractor tendersEstablished and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholdersContract administration including contract documents, variations, and claimsLead and mentor other juniors within the QS teamRequirements
The role requires an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with proven ability and experience previously working in New Zealand or Australia for a minimum of 8 years on vertical builds. You will have a relevant construction/quantity surveying tertiary qualification. With a focus on further developing your existing skill set, this role is appropriate for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with plenty of opportunity for growth and ability to step into a Commercial Manager position in the future.
