We have a close-knit culture and when you come on board as either our client or a team member, you get treated like family.With a team of nearly 100 people, we operate throughout the central north island delivering exceptional results across the construction sector.What does the job entail?Working in partnership with the Project Managers and the Commercial Leadership team, to be responsible for budget, cost control management and the overall goal of supporting projects to be completed successfully, on time and on budget.This role will also see you being the leader of the wider QS and Estimating team, coaching, supporting, and guiding them to ensure project and business success.A typical day could include:Pricing and preparing variations, payment claims, and purchase orders.Overseeing projects at various stages.Managing supplier and contractor agreements.Liaising with key stakeholders both inside and outside our businessTender preparation and analysisCoaching and mentoring the wider team.Who we are looking forSomeone with 8 or more years' quantity surveying experience in a commercial construction environmentThe proven ability to coach, guide and support a team of 4 Quantity Surveyors and EstimatorsSomeone who holds Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction or Quantity Surveying, or had the proven long term experience in the roleStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to cost management.We value a team player who can think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholdersYou will have a can-do attitude and won't mind "mucking in" for the greater good when its needed.Apply onlineIf this opportunity sounds like it's for you, we would love to hear from you.
