You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing leadership and ensuring project commercial outcomes are delivered. From participating in scope planning to managing subcontractor relationships, this role offers a diverse range of responsibilities in a dynamic environment. If you are a proactive and experienced professional in quantity surveying, this role is for you.Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do;Plan and manage end-to-end commercial management of large subcontracts and self-performed worksParticipate in scope planning, maximize cost efficiencies, consider subcontractor capabilitiesPrepare procurement strategies, identify potential subcontractors, and manage timingProvide management and leadership to other commercial rolesMaintain relationships with subcontractors and stay updated on market conditionsAssess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, escalate issues when neededSupport self-perform works and assist in dispute resolution processesEnsure accurate cost forecasting and escalate cost issues as necessaryManage subcontracts through all phases, including claims/variations processing and closeoutOperate and maintain commercial and contract systemsEnsure compliance with Building Code and report non-compliancesPrepare periodic and ad hoc reporting on commercial performanceAssist with Head Contract administration as requiredPerform all duties in accordance with company policies and proceduresTo be successful in this key role, you must have / What we are looking for;Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalentDemonstrated experience as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction and engineering industryExperience in all stages of subcontract management, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations management, completion, and closeoutSite-based engineering or construction experienceExperience with a variety of project values and complexity, including large, technically complex works packagesStrong commercial acumen and awareness in areas of cost management and contract lawKnowledge and understanding of industry market conditions and movementsDemonstrated ability to manage commercial negotiationsAwareness and compliance with document control and records management proceduresAs part of the team, you can help us transform lives.Your success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
