Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying for large-scale commercial projects.
Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
Conduct detailed analysis of project costs, identify risks, and implement effective strategies to ensure financial objectives are met.
Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to achieve project goals and maintain cost control.
Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, contract administration, and variations to contracts.
Monitor and report on project progress, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Stay updated with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in quantity surveying.
Requirements: A minimum of 5 years New Zealand experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on major commercial developments.
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven track record of successfully managing major projects from inception to completion.
Proficient in cost estimation software, quantity takeoff tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant legislation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
