Tekton has a strong presence in the Franklin area through their Coresteel Franchise and is expanding into general construction, including office fit-outs, warehousing, industrial, high-end residential, and general commercial builds.
Their projects range from $1M to $35M, and their client base includes a diverse mix of commercial companies.
The Opportunity: Tekton Construction Group is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to step into a key position where they will be instrumental in shaping and improving current systems.

Key Responsibilities: Estimating: Lead the estimation process for all design and build projects.
Cost Tracking: Monitor and manage project costs across multiple builds, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Tender Management: Oversee and lead the tendering process, with support from the General Manager.
Client Liaison: Work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded, maintaining strong relationships.
Leadership: Play a key role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
System Improvement: Assist in the implementation and improvement of current systems and processes.
Ideal Candidate: Minimum 5 years of experience as a QS with a main contractor in NZ, ideally with exposure to both estimating and quantity surveying.
Proven track record managing projects valued between $5M-$10M, across commercial, industrial, or fit-out sectors.
Strong leadership abilities with a desire to grow and develop their career within a fast-growing company.
Self-starter, driven, and passionate about the construction industry.
Experience with NZ construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
