Description This is a market leader across interiors and larger construction refurbishments. They are a fast-paced operation with a strong and reputable brand covering all interior fit out and refurbishment jobs for high profile corporates, government, and smaller businesses from design through to full project delivery. They continue to think positively and have a strong programme of work with contracts for premium tenants of high-rise office fitout and refurbishments. They are now in need of a driven Senior QS or Commercial Manager that can step into leading projects from a commercial perspective and manage a team of 3-4 QS's. The role encompasses both estimating and overall cost management of projects.
Key components of this role involve:
Leading estimating and quantity surveying functions
Team mentoring and management
Leading tender preparation
Overall cost management monitoring
Identifying commercial risks
Reviewing, developing and implementing operating processes to improve efficiencies
As an applicant, you have:
10+ years of Estimator/QS experience either from a main contractor with some interior projects as part of your portfolio or an interiors contractor with a strong understanding of tendering and contract administration
Strong leadership and management skills and have managed a QS team
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to manage and guide intermediate level staff
Highly analytical
A sound understanding of the competitive market dynamics operating in Auckland
A team player
Salary: $170K - $180K+
