Senior Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Construction
We have an exciting Senior Quantity Surveyor position in Hamilton with a progressive and forward-thinking commercial main contractor. They have several upcoming projects in the Waikato and are looking to add you to their nationwide team of 200 motivated and valued professionals.
This role offers a competitive salary of $140,000 - $160,000 per annum (DOE) plus a company vehicle. You'll benefit from job security, growth opportunities within the company and industry, and the chance to work on diverse and interesting projects across the North Island.
To be considered, you should have experience as the lead QS on projects valued at $10M or more.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing tenders and trade packages
Measuring projects and reviewing subcontract quotations
Letting contracts and negotiating with subcontractors
Managing valuations, variations, and tender analysis
General contract administration and attending site meetings
Administering progress claims, payments, and final accounting
Reporting information to subcontractors and ensuring Head Contract Agreement compliance
Mentoring and training Junior and Intermediate QSs to support team development
