Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Pure Nutrition Limited (Pure Nutrition) is a joint venture between Ausnutria, a leading Chinese pediatric milk formula company, and Westland Milk Products (Westland), a longstanding dairy organization based on the West Coast of New Zealand.
Pure Nutrition blends and packs finished dairy-based nutritional products for supply to Ausnutria and other international organizations.
Pure Nutrition is a stand-alone entity that has built its own plant at Rolleston, and the plant's initial capacity is expected to be around 20 million cans of milk formula per year.

About the Role We are looking for a self-starting individual to take on the permanent, full-time role of Senior Quality Specialist, as part of the Quality Team.
This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, and related Risk Management Programme for Pure Nutrition plant operators.
This person will create commercial value for Pure Nutrition and its customers by applying technical expertise to ensure products are safe and of good quality while being cognitive of operational efficiency.
This role is essential in ensuring we meet our quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements, as well as meeting production targets.
Tasks will include: Adherence to health & safety, quality & regulatory guidelines Develop and maintain the food safety and quality management systems Build your technical, food safety, and quality knowledge, particularly in dry blending and canning.
Understand OMARs for countries exported to.
Ensure internal audits and plant inspections are planned, scheduled, and completed to a high standard, and any areas for improvement are tracked and trended.
Review batch log-sheets.
About You We are looking for someone who has a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or Dairy (or equivalent degree) or at least 5 years of previous experience in product release and/or environmental experience within the food industry and who is: Competent and accurate with data Professional and clear with verbal and written communication Strong HACCP capability Strong auditing experience Working knowledge of dry blending and/or canning Able to work both independently and as part of a team Computer competent in Microsoft Suite: Word and Excel Able to follow instructions to produce reliable precise data within the required time frame Honest and shows integrity at all times Analytical, with strong problem-solving skills Committed to driving quality and continuous improvement Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure and be responsive to organizational contingencies as they arise Effective at setting priorities and able to ensure their own work is completed to a high standard and to agreed deadlines.
