Job Responsibilities: Collecting data frominternal and external sources on factors known to affect demandAnalysing sales,stock, and other data statistics to optimize inventory levelsReviewing historicalsales trends and modelling the data to forecast future demandObtaining informationon occurrences that could impact demand like promotions and production delaysGathering updates onvendors, distributors, sales, and other stakeholders that can affect demandDeveloping demandforecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizonsCoordinatingcross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variancesInteracting withsales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast driversUsing and maintainingthe demand planning softwareProviding input tothe supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existingitems, new products, and product phase-outsRefining systems andmethods to improve forecasts in order to better anticipate customer needsDevelop and implement strategic sourcing plans to secure the bestpossible pricing and terms from suppliersConduct market research and identify new product opportunitiesManage supplier relationships and ensure on-time deliveryNegotiate contracts and manage supplier performanceMaintain accurate purchase orders and ensure compliance with companypoliciesWork closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, andlogistics teamsSkills and experience: A Tertiary qualification in a related fieldProven forecastingand supply planning experiencePrior Supply Chainand Inventory experience of 3+ years desirableAgility to exerciseyour judgement coupled with business data to make informed decisionsProven track record of success in optimizing procurement processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience or advanced knowledge in Netstock and Sage desirableKnowledge of the New Zealand food and beverage industry is a plusHighly communicativestyle of engaging with stakeholders.Next steps:
