The opportunity - Te Whiwhinga mahi
Our Property Acquisition Team has fantastic opportunities for Property Acquisition Managers at various levels to join our team based in Wellington. This is a pivotal role that will have you directly influencing a range of internal subject matter experts including project managers, legal, planning, and communications along with managing our external property consultants.
You will also be responsible for leading and engaging with key stakeholders including landowners, Iwi partners, local government agencies, and the local community. This is a unique opportunity to support the implementation of major infrastructure projects that will help shape New Zealand into the future.
You will help drive best practice in property acquisition to continuously improve the way we work and how we support wider NZTA objectives. Working as part of a regionally dispersed team, you will help deliver NZTA's Property Acquisition Programme which ranges from $25m to $150m each year to support our transport system property programmes. This includes helping develop property strategies for future projects in conjunction with our LINZ Accredited Suppliers, including cost estimates and risk mitigation.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience in a similar or related property role
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate to achieve results
Knowledge and experience of the Public Works Act 1981
Negotiation skills to assist with managing multi-party issues and/or difficult relationships
A relevant tertiary qualification
