It's an exciting time to join the Water team – we've secured multiple major infrastructure projects and multi-year contracts with leading public and private clients.We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Project Manager who will build strategic business partnerships, deliver high profile projects with key clients in Auckland and beyond and help mentor and assist our successful water project management team. As a project manager, you will need to understand client organisations and processes, develop and maintain consistent relationships at all organisational levels, and work to ensure that Jacobs is the consultant-of-choice for our clients.Here's what you will be doing:Lead and manage teams through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract.Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of our clients and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs' business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management.Work closely with our team of Auckland based project managers to provide guidance and assistance in effective project delivery.Act as Project Director on multiple projects to ensure the needs of the client are being looked after as well as manage the commercial aspects of projects.Play a leadership role in business development activities that result in the award of new contracts. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, oral presentations, and contract negotiations consistent with established business development processes.Here's what you'll need:Relevant degree in related engineering or applicable discipline.15+ years of progressively responsible Project Management experience with at least some of this with Water/Wastewater projects and consulting.A recognised and established project management qualification.Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics, and a proven history leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations.Attributes that include good oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem solving, and a strong organizational approach.Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.Ability to grow and mentor more junior members of the project management team.Jacobs recognises everyone has different priorities and a mixture of flexible / remote working practices are our de facto way of working.
