The Role: Senior Project Manager - Queenstown We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team, based in Queenstown and working closely with our Wanaka office. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead and manage significant land development projects in the region. Responsibilities Oversee and manage the delivery of engineering designs and professional services in Queenstown and surrounding areas Achieve successful project outcomes within budget and time constraints Implement best practice project management, including risk evaluation, scope definition, execution planning, change control, and financial management Develop and administer construction contracts (e.g., NZS3910/16) in an Engineer's Representative or ETC role Ensure adherence to Project Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental processes Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, contractors, and other stakeholders Communicate effectively with the CGW team, clients, contractors, and other consultants Follow CGW systems and processes to deliver high-quality services Participate in business development and identify growth opportunities in the region Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is legally entitled to work in New Zealand and possesses: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying Extensive experience in professional engineering services, particularly in land development Proven track record in delivering and managing successful engineering design and construction projects Strong leadership, people management, and conflict resolution skills High degree of commercial acumen and understanding of project dynamics Ability to work effectively in a team and independently Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills Resilience, organization, and the ability to motivate others Full NZ Driver's License Excellent verbal and written communication skills Work-Life Balance At CGW, we value work-life balance and offer a flexible approach to work arrangements.
