Senior Project Manager, Policy – Wellington – Fixed Term Drive and deliver the outcomes in the Policy Workstream in this critically important programme of work to Fire and Emergency NZ. Mo tenei turanga - About the role: The Policy Senior Project Manager will be responsible for driving and overseeing the deliverables required by the policy workstream of our Eke Taumata Programme. This will involve daily delegation of work to team members, to enable the programme to deliver key outcomes as required. A key part of this role will be removing barriers and enabling outcomes. You will provide regular reporting and will work closely with the team. The outputs include: Drafting and revising new policy and guidelines, Managing consultation with a wide range of stakeholders, Reviewing feedback and incorporating changes into documents for launch, Embedding the policies with support from Communications, Leading the implementation of policies and processes post launch, End-to-end management of policies to ensure they are in place and operating successfully. This is a Fixed term position until 30 June 2025. Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role: For this Fixed Term position, we are seeking a driven applicant who can hit the ground running. You will have excellent writing skills alongside experience in HR and Policy. You will be familiar with working on projects and will be comfortable working to deadlines. Running on a high trust model, you will have strong accountability to manage the teams and your own workload, while maintaining clear communication with the wider team. It would be an advantage to have an understanding of volunteerism, and operational staff within the emergency sector. To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have: A strong background in HR and Policy, preferably within the public sector. Proven experience driving and delivering policy programmes of work. Ability to work at pace and deliver the requirements as needed. Excellent stakeholder management, clear communication and writing skills. Prior experience managing a team and delegating workload. The salary range for this role is $134,190 - $149,100 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role. Ko wai matou - Who are we?
