The Senior Project Manager is a key member of the team making a positive impact on the district's future. The role includes design, consultation, procurement, and managing the construction resources for each assigned project.The role is responsible for leading and supporting the development, delivery, and successful completion of capital works/infrastructure projects.Key responsibilities include:Project planning and delivery aligned to our project management frameworkProcurement of resources through both design and construction phasesFinancial management throughout the project life to approved budgetsCommunity and key stakeholder engagementAbout youAs a Senior Project Manager, you should have at least 5 years' experience in project management to help deliver the capital works we are undertaking. It is desirable that you either have extensive prior experience delivering projects for a local council, an industry recognized project management qualification, or other professional qualifications that strongly align with the type of infrastructure projects we deliver (e.g., Civil or structural engineering, landscape design, architectural qualifications).You'll need to demonstrate:Working knowledge of the Resource Management and Public Works ActsPrevious experience in community consultation in NZ including iwi consultationPrevious experience in the Project Management of community-based projects in NZWorking knowledge of the Local Government environment in NZ and of the Local Government ActAre you ready to make an impact?
