Mo te tima | About the team At DOC, we are building our capability within our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO). The team are the custodians of the project management frameworks, project management tool and manage the assurance of key documentation for projects and programmes. We have a significant number of projects and programmes underway at any one time across digital, business change, infrastructure and property projects.
Role Overview As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing various property fit-out projects across the country, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget. You will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including businesses, landlords, architects, and quantity surveyors, to ensure effective communication and consistent project execution.
The position will require travel approximately six to eight times a year.
Key Responsibilities Developing and managing project management plans and processes to deliver the work.Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.Managing the communication and reporting of the project progress to key stakeholders and governance forums.Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful project delivery.Qualifications We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with a background in executing property projects, including fit-outs and upgrades. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading property initiatives and collaborating with various stakeholders, such as architects and quantity surveyors, to achieve successful project outcomes.
If you have some of the following, we are keen to hear from you:
Skilled in project management in a complex and changing environment, translating analysis into practical implementation.Certified in Prince2 or Agile (or similar) and adept with a range of project management practices and methodologies.Proficiency in MS Office tools and MS Project.Strong contract management experience and the ability to oversee procurement processes are essential.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven capability to effectively guide cross-functional teams.Strong financial and commercial acumen.Understands the impact DOC and the wider public sector/government has on the Maori-Crown relationship.Current full New Zealand driver licence.DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow. The salary range for this position is between $95,706 - $128,271 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
