As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects, from planning and budgeting through to execution and completion. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of project objectives. Your role will involve managing project teams, facilitating change requests, resolving issues, and maintaining clear communication across all levels.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Developing and executing project work plans and budgets
Managing day-to-day project operations to ensure milestones are met
Liaising with stakeholders and ensuring seamless project execution
Leading recruitment, coordination, and performance of project teams
Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project success
Implementing quality control measures and resolving project issues
Chairing project meetings and preparing detailed reports
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across projects
To excel in this role, you'll need strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards. Your ability to foster a positive work environment and drive continuous improvement will be essential to your success.
Key Competencies:
Proficiency in marine engineering design (preferred but not essential)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and relationship-building abilities
High attention to detail with strong organizational and planning capabilities
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Physical fitness and effective time management skills
Qualifications and Experience:
General engineering or fabrication qualification is not essential but preferred.
Proven track record in senior-level project management.
Experience in budget management, stakeholder communication, and health and safety leadership.
