About the team | Ko te ropu neiThe Three Waters Unit is responsible for the delivery of the capital works projects and the rebuilding of the Council's Three Waters infrastructure including delivery of government funded Water Reform projects.About the role | Ko te mahi neiAs the Senior Project Manager, you will be a key member of the Three Waters project management delivery teams ensuring that our capital projects and programmes are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Your priorities include:Management of projects/programmes through the application of benefits management, stakeholder management and programme governance.Providing end to end services including but not limited to the effective management of scope, time, cost, quality issues and risks, human resources, health and safety, communications and procurementProject reporting and the operational handover of the project to the sponsor / asset owner(s).Mentoring and coaching of junior staffCommunication with internal and external stakeholders as well as community groups.To be successful in this role you will have comprehensive knowledge of Three Waters infrastructure and project management methodologies. We're looking for someone who has an open personality, agile when working with others and confident when mixing with a diverse range of people. You will also bring with you:A relevant degree (Civil, mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent)10 years of project management experienceExperience in developing concept and design solutions and associated drawings for the infrastructure assets associated with water supplyKnowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its integrationWhat's in it for you?
