The Role:Project Management Responsible for full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or multiple smaller initiatives simultaneously. Establish and maintain capital expenditure forecasts, continuous risk assessments, and action plans for allocated projects. Ensure projects are scoped and priced appropriately to meet financial targets. Ensure capital expenditure projects are approved in accordance with business standards and completed on time and within budget. Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.Quality/Customers: Ensure capital projects are fit for purpose. Ensure end user customer requirements are understood and considered in design and construct phases. Act as an internal quality control check for the project. Communicate constructively with stakeholders.Quarry Resource Position: Oversee and coordinate quarry infrastructure projects and works to ensure quarry operations are supported to maintain and grow the business. This includes but is not limited to: - Quarry planning and development. - Land development and planning including acting as client's representative to contract and project manager as required. - Feasibility studies to define optimal course of action. - Preparing scoping, procurement, and contract documentation. - Overseeing construction program and physical works activities. - Administer regulatory requirements including resource and building consent applications and implementation.Environment, Health & Safety (EHS): Undertake a risk management approach to all works and develop controls to assist in managing risk. Actively demonstrate safe work behaviors in the workplace and ensure these are followed by others. Support the implementation of EHS procedures in the business that meet local standards and the client's requirements and support and implement company-wide safety initiatives as appropriate. Ensure the appropriate level of consideration for resource consent conditions, district plan rules, and the local community/neighbors have been provided in the design, planning, and execution of works.General: Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork and innovation. As requested, undertake projects or activities required by the business. Assist with site financial budgeting and forecasting. Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and practices. Proactively look for opportunities to improve the operations of the client.
